PREFLIGHT QUESTIONS
Frequently asked
Is AeroPrep free?
Yes. Anyone can answer 3 questions a day for free, and a free account saves your streak and progress. Pro ($9.99/month) adds unlimited practice, topic drills, and the full Pilot’s Logbook.
Are these the actual FAA test questions?
They’re FAA-style practice questions written to match the topics and format of the FAA knowledge tests, with references to FAA sources. The FAA doesn’t publish its live test bank, so no prep service can promise the exact questions you’ll see.
What’s on the Private Pilot written test?
The Private Pilot Airplane (PAR) knowledge test has 60 multiple-choice questions, a 2-hour time limit, and a 70% minimum passing score. Topics include regulations, airspace, weather, navigation, aerodynamics, performance, and aeromedical factors.
Which tests does AeroPrep cover?
Private Pilot (PPL), Instrument Rating (IFR), Commercial Pilot (CPL), Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII), and Airline Transport Pilot (ATP).
Does AeroPrep give me the endorsement to take the test?
No. AeroPrep is a study tool. You’ll still need an endorsement from an authorized instructor (or a certificate from a home-study course) before you take the knowledge test.
Can I cancel Pro anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account page in a couple of clicks. You keep Pro until the end of the month you paid for, and your Logbook history stays with your free account.
